This title is modified from one of my favorite episodes of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" called 'Who Pooped the Bed?'. In that episode, Frank and Charlie share a bed and there is a mysterious turd that appears, but it is inconclusive as to whose it is as all evidence points to bot of them. Trust me, its hilarious. Anyways, back to 'Who Peed the Bed?'. That would be Dominik. He doesn't share a bed and all evidence points to him. :). The past 4 nights he has peed the bed (and yes I have a diaper on him). 3 nights it has gone through everything-onesie, sleep sack, and sheet. And today it only got to the onesie and sleep sack. I honestly don't know what's going on, I'm not doing anything different with the diaper, but he is moving/rolling around a lot more so maybe that is the cause? Bruce even changed him around midnight thinking that the diaper was just getting too full and a clean one would help prevent the leakage. WRONG! I hope this doesn't last long as I am sick of doing laundry. Any advice on if this is normal or not would be greatly appreciated!

Visitors from Florida
We had a great visit with Great Grandpa and Brenda. We were lucky to have some unseasonably cool weather while they were here and we got to try out the new patio set. We had breakfast and dinner outside on Saturday, it was fantastic! Dominik was spoiled with so many hugs and kisses and toys, he just didn't know what to do with himself! In the picture he is testing out his new alphabet train. It teaches, letters, items that start with certain letters, and numbers. And most importantly, there is an OFF button. Haha. Its really cute and he seems to like it. We miss Grandpa and Brenda already and can't wait for them to come back!
Dominik also had his 6 month check up on Friday, he is 18 lbs, 15 oz (75th percentile) 28 inches (95th percentile) and 95th percentile for head size. He has a really long torso and is wearing 9-12 month clothes. Definitely growing like a weed! We have also started him on fruits. We have tried apples, bananas and avocados. So far the "naners" are his favorite. We have also done carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans and peas. Today we even tried out a sippy cup, but he didn't quite get it :)
That's all for now!

Dominik vs Swimming pool
He loved it! We splashed around for about 30 minutes and then he started getting prune-y feet from being in the water. Tomorrow he is having some friends over to play in the pool too. Hope they all like it!

Busy body
Wow, Dom has sure progressed in the last couple of weeks! He is now rolling from tummy to back EVERY time we put him on his tummy. I think he thinks its a game. Dominik is also sitting up by himself. He still sometimes collapses to the side, but its nothing that a few pillows can't handle! We have also started vegetables this week. We have been doing cereal once a day for about a month. We started with carrots on Monday. My plan is to introduce a new vegetable each week with his dinner bottle. Up next on the menu will be peas, green beans, and sweet potatoes!
Dominik and I are also walking every morning before it gets too hot. But everyday it seems our walks get earlier and earlier before the 100 degree temperatures roll in! I want to continue this for as long as possible, but I know by the end of June/beginning of July the low temperatures won't get below 90 degrees so that will make walking slightly uncomfortable. I'm not looking forward to the rest of the summer when we will be trapped inside of our house because its too hot to even go outside :(

Reading the paper
So I was reading or attempting to read the paper today and I sit on the floor with Dom in between my legs so he can work on his back muscles/head control and he lunges forward towards the paper. He then decided to pick it up and crinkle every page. It was soooo cute. He was having a blast. Wish I could have gotten a picture of it! At least I know for future reference paper can keep him occupied for a while :)

Messy eater
Well we've begun to introduce cereal once a day to Dominik. As you can tell from the picture, I think more gets on his face than in his tummy. Needless to say, mealtime is always an experience!
We also just returned from a trip to Nebraska. We had a great time, as did everyone else because they got to meet Dominik! While we were there Dominik had a little bit of a bug, but he was a trooper and pulled through. When we got back home though, Bruce came down with an upper respiratory infection and probably strep (the culture came back negative, but he had all the symptoms). He was home from work for two days. So knock on wood that I won't be the next one to take a hit. I'm not sure this mommy could take it!

Slacker
So I admit it, I've thought about writing, but other things just seem to fill my time. So as I sit here at 4:55 am, I don't have anything better to do, althought Joy of Painting is on and Bob Ross is awesome. ( Its a winter scene with a sunrise, in case anyone cares)
Ok, back to life. I've been so busy and officially am a stay at home mom now. Partially because I want to and partially because I have to. Bruce got the opportunity to run a job near Yuma, AZ (if you don't know where it is, just look on a map for where Arizona, California, and Mexico touch). I wouldn't say that I'm thrilled that we will temporarily be moving, but its a new adventure and I'm so proud of Bruce. This is a big step in his career. We aren't sure when we will be going, but it'll probably be in the next couple of months.
Dom is a busy little guy! He is growing like crazy! He was 13 lbs, 14 oz and 24.25 inches at his last check-up. Pretty sure he's a giant. Haha. We spend our days cuddling, going for walks, playing on his play mat, sitting in the bumbo, and reading stories. Grandma Applegate got him this great collection of Children's stories for Christmas, so that is what we are working on reading now. He has almost outgrown his 0-3 month clothes and we've begun digging into the pile of 3-6 month. My goal is to just get him to wear everything at least once so I feel less guilty about it hanging in the closet. Dominik has been smiling up a storm lately, he usually starts smiling when he's getting his diaper changed--must know that something good is happening. He also is starting to babble. Its quite funny, especially when I put him on his playmat and I go run do something in the kitchen quick and I hear him get all excited. He can keep himself occupied for quite a while. His favorite thing to do with dad, well anyone for that matter, but I'll credit Bruce for starting this madness, is standing. If you pick him up, his legs will go stick straight and he will stand (with support of course) for a good 10 min. And during this time he'll be laughing and bobbling that gigantic head of his!
We've also had our slew of visitors since he's been here. Single G (my mom) has been out twice. Double G (my grandma) has been out as well. My sisters came for a visit in early January and my friends Andrea and Allison were just here. Bruce's parents will be here at the end of March and I'm pretty sure my parents are planning a trip for sometime in April.
Well that is all my brain can handle right now. I'll work on getting better at updating I promise!
