Brooklyn is 10 months!

4th of July
9 1/2 month pictures
Brooklyn gives the best hugs.  She wraps her arms tight around your neck, usually trying to reach for any hair she can grab on to, but still, it's a good hug.  She also can give kisses.  If you pucker your lips, she'll lean in for an open mouthed kiss.  Haha.

She has begun to take some steps. She is now a pro at walking along the furniture, but will get daring every once in a while and let go and take a few steps towards something/someone that she wants.  I'm pretty excited for her!  She has about a week and a half to tie Dominik for when he started walking, so we'll see if she makes it.

Since we came back from vacation I have started Brooklyn on almost ALL finger foods. It's much easier for me as I can give her a lot of the food we eat.  I am still breastfeeding her in the mornings, but she gets formula bottles for morning snack, afternoon snack and at bed time.
Brooklyn loves to put anything and everything in her mouth.  I am glad that most of Dominik's toys are larger so they aren't huge choking hazards, but anything is a choking hazard with a baby.  Her favorite thing to chew on lately is any piece of Mr. Potato Head.

These pictures are from our vacation as I haven't really had time to do much picture taking/blogging since we've been back.  Enjoy!

Dominik is 31 months!

Late again posting, but we were on vacation.

1st face painting at 4th of July in Ridgefield, WA
Dominik is now 31 months.  In the past month he has really turned into a mature, growing boy.  Since we were stuck in a car for hours upon hour traveling, his language skills have improved ten fold!  He is quite the repeater and tries really hard to make all of the sounds in a word.  He sometimes still has problems with hard consonants at the end of words, but he survives.  He is also getting very good at asking questions.  His favorite is "Right way?" "Wrong way?" "This way?"  Way can also be replaced with hole when it comes to getting dressed.  Its funny.

Dominik is still our little monkey.  He climbs on anything and everything.  He has about a million bruises and scrapes and a big fat lip from vacation to prove it.  We only got tears on the fat lip, but I would have cried too if I bit it in a parking lot and my teeth went into my lip!  He's so tough!

He is getting protective of Brooklyn and he knows when she is doing something wrong.  He either tells her "No, Sis" or yells at one of us to "Get her, mom/dad".

Dominik also loves to swish things around in his mouth.  Whether it be milk, water, juice, or food (yes, food) he can do it, and do it for a long time.  We've even tried tickling him and lifting him upside down, somehow he can still keep it in!

Not much else that I can think of right now.  The pictures are from our vacation.  We had so much fun!
